It's official. The classification of such a game is "Lighgun game". Or something like that.

Besides. You're actually holding the gun used to kill things in your hand, rather than seeing the hand poking up from the bottom of the screen.

If I am interpreting it correctly, a 2nd person shooter would be watching a replay or such. 3rd person is like Tomb Raider or other games of said ilk.

In Cold Fear there is the 2nd person view. You look from behind the shoulder of the character you play.

That reminds me of a chat I was involved in, last year... It was really quite funny and disturbing at the same time. Basically, it was these 4 girls I know (one of whom was stalking me at the time) talking about "Ooh, blowjobs are always good." It was REALLY disturbing. I invited another friend of mine 'cause he asked me to (presumably to make comments to turn it for the funnier), who proceeded to turn it into a debate; "Are blowjobs considered sex?" Man, I wish I had a chat log of that. It might make for a good read.
