So whats the deal with the Sent box and the Out box?

as far as i can see the sent box contains Pm's that you've sent and HAVE
been recived where as the Out box contains Pm's that have yet to be recived,

now what i want to know is if you've sent something but then change your
mind but the person it was sent to hasen't recived it if you delete is from
your OutBox will it still arrive at the person?

From what I've noticed, if you delete it before the other person reads it, it is gone from both ends.
