I know how most of you feel about Halflife 2 but I thought I would alert you that a map based on Bodies won a competition (or at least got 2nd place). Here is a link: http://www.steampowered.com/index.php?area=news&id=409

Just thought it was neat and might be good press. Let's not turn this into a thread on how Halflife 2 sucks. ;) I will see if I can't find some screenshots.

How do most of us feel about Half-Life 2?

I think it is a very good game.
I hate crap like steam, which just causes troubles also to those who, like me, own a legal copy of the game.
But Half-Life 2 itself is very good.

Well, first take out the giant-ass metal tower, then all the HAlf-Life 2 stupidity, add some non-boring weapons into the mix (which are not to be found in Half-Life 2), then make it not look like there's a collapsed hole, make it look like it may supposed to be there, replace the bridge with a metal grate...

OK, now it's better. Some slight resemblance can be noticed.
But not much. Not much at all.

Hey that is pretty cool. It is like Blood ala Picasso. :D Genius. I have to say, the logical flow of bodies is (and always was of course,) genius in and of itself. It can be used in ANY game. Because it rocks. But do you know who had it first? BLOOD, by Monolith studios. :-D I have always marveled at its elegant simplicity. Simply genius.

Well, I wouldn't say Bodies was anything exceptional. It was good. It was very playable. It was intense. It was a lot of fun to play it.
But it wasn't incredible.

Heh. Ever seen DM_reservoir in AvP 2? Nearly exact in layout, except with pipes and vents added.

Exactly. It was based on Bodies.
Although it wasn't a good map for AvP2.

Hello Daeddy.

No, I'm not really that uptight here. Just honest.
But how is your campaign going?
Do you have any new maps I could play?
