Halloween 2019

Post by I Live...AGAIN »

Anyone interested in another traditional Bloodbath this Halloween?

Since we have Fresh Supply this year I don't think we need a Blood 2 server this year.
I have the Steam version of Blood:Fresh Supply and it supports jumping in and out of a network game anytime.

My Steam profile is here:

Add me as a friend and I'll look to host a game on the 31st.

Sorry for the delay. My login wasn't working here for a few days.

I would be up for a Blood 2 game again. Might be able to rope in some of my brothers as well.

And yeah, same here on the login. Maybe Willis was trying something for the spambots. :phantasm:

Hello. I'm going to have to pass yet again on the Halloween Bloodbath. Not only can I not get Blood 2 to work on Windows 10, my hard drive crashed a month or two ago and I haven't got around to replacing it yet. I have the tools to do it but multiple IRL problems prevent me from getting around to actually installing the new hard drive. But I hope everyone has fun and happy Halloween. Take care.

I haven't given Fresh Supply a try yet, and I am a bit curious how the controls feel, might have to give it a try. Won't be around until after candy hand-out though.

Mostly unrleated. Moved to a new server and changed SSL settings, but I didn't realize right away the redirects weren't working quite correctly. But with the server move, it should be blocking from more spam lists before they can even make it to the registration page now. Still won't be perfect, but should be better.

Yes its a pain to get some versions to work on Windows 10.

I am using the Steam version of B2 and it seems to work well. I dont even have any screen flicker in Windows 10

Looks like I have no network from WINE for some strange reason.

BASH console:

Code: Select all

[hamish@Gehirn ~]$ ping 68.41.25.33

64 bytes from 68.41.25.33: icmp_seq=3 ttl=48 time=144 ms
^C
--- 68.41.25.33 ping statistics ---
3 packets transmitted, 3 received, 0% packet loss, time 2001ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 143.661/190.902/273.992/58.936 ms
WINE CMD prompt:

Code: Select all

[hamish@Gehirn ~]$ wine cmd
Microsoft Windows 6.1.7601

Z:\home\hamish>ping 68.41.25.33
Pinging 68.41.25.33 [68.41.25.33] with 32 bytes of data:

Colour me confused. I do not have any Windows machines to play on so I may have to pass on tonight I am sorry to say.

You got that backwards.

Anyone up for trying TFn 1.05 beta 2? Seems to still work fine, though I don't have a nice config anymore, I can client host. Showing up in the list right now.

Glad that you two are having fun at any rate. I have posted a thread on the Arch Linux forums:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php ... 4#p1871304

Gideon already had to bail due to having work in the morning, so if we could try for a rematch later after I get this resolved that would be great.

I did wonder why we were unable to get a local Age of Empires II game working a few weeks back. Now I know. :banghead:
