I'll be waiting for the Linux release to come out before giving it a purchase, but based on what I have been reading giving some time for the release day bugs to be fixed may be for the best anyway. Seems like a bit of a rocky launch, which is a shame since they have been hyping it since December.
NBlood and BloodGDX definitely still seem to be in contention.
I poked around it for 15 minutes, seems OK to me, didn't have any problems.
What is annoying, but it's a common problem of EDuke32 and others, is when you set to "3D Aim", the sprites (corpses, gibs, etc) become flat, instead of "face" (always facing the player).
But yes, it seems there's some stuff to fix here and there.
I wonder if they will develop and release new original maps later in the future for this. Like how PSX Doom had entirely new maps like Twilight Descends and The Marshes.

I'm definitely waiting till updates are made. But to be fair I think all of their remasters have gone through this. They've all turned out great too in the end.
Yeah, I will say in fairness to Kaiser that I am definitely in the "it needs to be fixed" rather than the "it can't be fixed" camp.
If this had come out in 2015 when he had first began working on it we would have all been stunned to see any kind of Blood remaster was possible. But then the Russians did their magic and gave us not one but two fairly solid if still idiosyncratic ports. To make the obvious space race comparison, BloodGDX was Sputnick, NBlood was Gagarin, and yeah Nightdive may have been the first to land Blood on the Moon, but we might still all end up launching from Baikonur in the end.
