Xonotic Preview Release

The Xonotic Project has finally shown that they a more than just talk, and have recently released their first preview release:

So has anyone played it? I was not a big fan of Nexuiz in the end, and that 1.3 GB download is enough to keep me from trying out Xonotic for now.

I played Nexuiz once just to try it out. I played against the bots and it was funny at times. Maybe I'll get this and try it out.

They are promising that it will improve upon Nexuiz, and graphically they seem to already have. I was not actually that large a fan of the original myself; it was fun to an extent, but it was basically a poor man's Unreal Tournament. And since I have always been more of a Quake fan than a UT player...

But still, it is one of our DarkPlaces brethren and deserves mention. Still more interested in Steel Storm in some ways though.
