Re: Times?
Caleb mostly fits those times I quoted above very well not to mention the 1920s/30s setting of the first game.TheChosenOne wrote:- victorian time like london, paris, prague, or maybe new york

Re: Times?
When it comes to the future, I dont think Caleb would fit in very well. Blood 2 was close enough to the present that they could mix some science-fictional technology but still have Caleb in all his glory in a time that works with him. And of course no one can resist Caleb shooting cultists Al Capone style with his tommy gun in the 1920's.TheChosenOne wrote: - victorian time like london, paris, prague, or maybe new york

Depends on the future setting. Caleb would fit in right well in a Fallout or post Zombie war apocalypse type scenario.
I've fancied the idea of Caleb and the other Chosen popping out of... wherever they are in the Nightmare levels, to find the world over run by zombies functioning under a hive mind of sorts.

The chosen one
Western- Yes this could work, it would have to be a dirty spaghetti western sort of feel. There's a sub-option for this choice to inject a supernatural feel into things called the weird west. here's a link:

Now? No.
future: This one is a slippery slope. A highly distopian world, largely unorganized, might work. Think more along the lines of Road warrior than blade runner.
Me name it? Nowhere and everywhere. Time would be hard to place precisely, just like Blood.
Victorian? hmmmm, I picture foggy London streets and lots of people in formal wear of that time (petty coats, bowler hats etc.). I can't see it working. I keep waiting for Sherlock Holmes to jump out.Hey bloodites... i have a quistion for you all . What century do you think that caleb fits very well?

I actually think Victorian times also fits Caleb well since it's set around the same time as the Old West and probably around that time (including the old west) Caleb and the Chosen are still working for the Cabal and what if they had a mission from Tchernobog involving Victorian Europe to assassinate or slaughter an entire secret society/organization located there (inspired by this fan fic especially). It's also fun to throw in a old western gunsligner in the mix to f*** s*** up in a such formal society like Victorian England/Europe was.zZaRDoZz wrote:Victorian? hmmmm, I picture foggy London streets and lots of people in formal wear of that time (petty coats, bowler hats etc.). I disagree, I think Caleb also fits well in modern times (well especially the 90s)zZaRDoZz wrote:Now? No.

WTH isn't Blood listed in that Wiki? I suppose I should do it...

I would have to agree. I think it add's to Caleb's character dynamic, having him in a time he now longer knows, seeing how he handles in a changed world. It adds a bit of weakness to the character which always helps to build up character depth. Blood 2 touched the subject in it's back story, although much of this was not able to be implemented in the final game. Also, Wangho and RedFanatic are also playing on this idea with Bloody Pulp Fiction. Just my two cents...Blood of Nightmares wrote:I disagree, I think Caleb also fits well in modern times (well especially the 90s)

There, I updated the Wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weird_West#Games
Bloody Pulp Fiction only has a few things that make it feel like it may be from the present, especially in my first 2 maps, but you have your K-Marche' and things in the original Blood game that could remind you of the present as well. We're not blatant about pointing out that Caleb is in the present with BPF. A lot of it still has an old world look and style.
The problem with the present is that it's hard to retain that cold, mysterious, and gothic feel. It's hard to get that when Caleb is walking around in an age of cell phones and Dancing With The Stars.
