The release of 1.01 had an older version of DarkPlaces that didn't quite have its net code hammered out the way it is now... unfortunately there are quite a few things that are different with that and the current DP build. We should probably go back and fix up 1.01 to work better with the current DP. Of course that'd require work.. and we don't really do that around here.
Indeed i am good sir! sorry for the absense sometimes i like to kick back and meld in the shadows although it could be due to not touching Blood for a while and not finding a soul on HamachiDustyStyx wrote:You should be able to hook up with some one fiarly close. I've played against a few guys from England; Krypto and a few others. I wonder if he's around much anymore.
Yea but new version of DP used in 1.05 is bad due to crappy working on old PC. On my Radeon 8500 FDX LE in 1.01 i got 60~ FPS and in 1.05 under 20 [yep on lowest configuration] same as in Nexuiz [Lowest configuration and still FPS under 20]. The point is to improve net code in 1.01!Kazashi wrote:The point of 1.05 is to improve the game over 1.01, including a better version of DarkPlaces. If something's not right then it should be fixed in 1.05, as long as we get told what the issue is.
No one will. Buy a newer pc or try to fix it yourself (dont know which license it uses but it must be free to modify). Not played TF for long since it came unstable. Sprite enemies look much better btw.. I probably go back for it when it reaches at least Doom3quality..The point is to improve net code in 1.01!

If it's so unstable then please tell us, or tell the coder of DarkPlaces, instead of bitching about it in the forums and expecting us to see it and interpret it for what it is. Go into the Beta Discussion or Transfusion Discussion forum and put it down in a post with as much information as you can possibly dig up about your problem. It could end up being a problem on Radeon cards (or ATI in general), but we won't know because you don't tell us.
