Fighting games: Let's try this again

Post by Necrosis »

Ok, to kick this off, I play any of King of Fighters XI, Guilty Gear XX/, Naruto Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 (also known as Clash of Ninja in the US), Melty Blood Act Cadenza, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Marvel v Capcom 2, and to some degree Tekken 5 and Soul Calibur 2 (SC3 is just far worse). Someone pick one and start discussing, I guess.

My top 3:
1. GGXX/
2. NGNT4
3. SF3 3S.

Way of the Samurai: aweful and wonderful. Both adventure and fighting.

Red, MK is generally looked down upon for being broken and silly. I like it for a couple minutes of fun and for having probably the best gore of any fighting game, but that's it. Infinites in all of those games are so retardedly easy to do. :(

(and yeah I remember MKDA for GBA, that was good fun on the road, though such stupid, stupid rape... :( )

Cheapy, it's called Darkstalkers lol. Just messing with you, though personally I could never get the feel of the game. Character design is GREAT, and I really have been meaning to get something besides the PSP one so I can try it out for real.

Mortal Kombat was good initially, the first game was great back on the Genesis. And the second was okay, but after that it went to s***.

MK:DA is pretty fun, so is MK:A which just came out... but the series is suffering and has been for years.

Red, as far as GBA fighters go, not many are any good. From what I hear, Guilty Gear X on GBA was actually pretty fun though. :)

D00d... I've been playing DON since it came out... I HATE THAT GAME. It's good fun, and you're like "wow this is awesome," but only until you realize that it's a broken piece of s*** with barely any mechanics to it.

As long as I'm talking about broken s*** anime fighters, stay the HELL away from Bleach Blade Battlers. Just... ewwwww.

Oh, and I've been meaning to get into Last Blade 2, but the only place I can play that is two states away, in Ohio, since they have an arcade cabinet of it at a game store that runs NGNT4 tourneys every few months that I go to. I'll probably get there in January or February.

Which ones? I have Narutimate Hero 3, though don't play very well, and Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4. I love both. I know of Konoha Spirits/Uzumaki Ninden and hate them. I have the DS one, Saikyuu Ninja Daikesshu 4 if I'm correct (I know it's SND 4 but not sure of how to spell the name), and it's decent but a little silly. I've heard that Shinobi Retsuden, the new DS one, is really bad.

If you play GNT4 you're my new hero. :)
