Blood Addon: The Carnage Continues

Post by Guest: Harry »

The Carnage continues has been in the works for years and it is time to finally release whatever we have. It could never be finished in entirety and as intended but it has to come out NOW. It even features a level jointly done by Reactor and me.

Well, I just started lv3... I have to say it's fairly good so far. The first level was a little confusing. I'll have to play through it again though. I have this bad habit of cheating when I get stuck. Over all though, very nice.

Hi,

Since it should be assumed that most players will be veterans, none of these levels are straightforward and will take a fairly good amount of thinking (of what you can do with/to the environment) and exploration/re-exploration. The text messages during the game offer vital hints.

I should've said "first impressions" instead of feedback. I guess its going to take a while.

Thanks

whats the addon's story?

RF, run "nocuts.bat" instead of "carnage.com"

The story was mostly stripped out for the sake of quick release but you'll still see pieces of it. The story for Episode 2 is intact.

Unfortunatly, no, the cutscenes are very problematic when using BuildXP settings (intro movies won't even play and must be bypassed)

However, I can play cutscenes once the menu has initialized, though the sound is horribly delayed... though I still haven't gotten around to trying this addon yet to test its cutscenes (though I likely won't do it under BuildXP anyway)

Sounds mostly like your monitor isn't allowing for playback of 320x200 (I'm assuming) resolution.
