Raze, GZDoom meets the Build engine
So the ever-mischievous Graf Zal has finally taken a gander at things build, and lo', Raze is now a thing.

So GZDoom is now able to render build engine games as a backend, Dukenuk'em 3d, Nblood, Redneck rampage, and powerslave are working at alpha level. Eduke32 handles the calculations while GZDoom does rendering and sound. The various build games are so incompatible that they require separate engine implementations for each.

Re: Raze, GZDomm meets the Build engine
I'd stick with GDX. Raze is too young to be worth anything right now.
Re: Raze, GZDoom meets the Build engine
True, having to get all the build games working is going to keep raze in alpha for well over a year, probably 2.

You want something N0t_mINe?
All I can say is remember all of the gnashing of teeth over ZBlood?

I am like the vulture perched in a tree waiting for one of these corpses to reach sufficient ripeness to make a decent meal.

First off, I swear to you that I corrected "GZDomm" at least twice. Google keyboard/ autocorrect is getting more and more evil with every update.
As for the use of GZDoom, it is basically just the renderer. Raze appears to utilize Eduke32 for the actual calculations, assuming I understand what I've read so far, of course.

I understood you N0t_mINe. It is just after the hysterical reactions on the part of some to ZBlood it would still be amusing for us all to start playing Blood on any kind of ZDoom derivative.

Yeah, I remember a few people complaining about ZBlood a long time ago. I always saw it as interesting though. It was cool to see Blood re-created on a different engine. When I thought of ZBlood, I always thought of the potential modding and custom enemy/weapon/etc. possibilities that the Z/GZDoom engines offered. Maybe it's still a possibility.
Re: Raze, GZDoom meets the Build engine
That's all possible on Fresh Supply already. Plus you can play epic map packs like Death Wish on FS with mods like my own or whatever else you add to vanilla Blood.
