mouse problems

In Blood I set up my mouse to aim and turn with my keypads used for running and strafting. Turning is smooth as silk, but for some reason up and down is still a bit choppy. I removed any options for y axis control (i.e. analog-moveing, etc.) and set mouse up and down for aim-up and aim-down and left and right to turn-left and turn-right respectively. I've also got sensitivity cranked up to 3. Do any of you have any idea how to get the chopiness out of the up and down movements?
