Blood for UT? Yes?

Post by Ra_Ra_Gazaa »

Recently, I've rediscovered UT.

Weren't there some maps based on Blood levels for it?

I found at least one, for UT2004 that is. It is E1M2 (The Train Station).

Yeah, that's right... and he gave Transfusion credit for textures and some static models he uses in it.

He got quite a reaction when he posted at the Atari forums (and it is in this thread that he gives us credit)here.

Yeah, there's something highly amusing about someone in that thread posting a link to the full One whole unit of blood download from the home of the underdogs site

Nice of people to ask for our materials.....

Deja-Review used to have a bunch of Blood maps that had been recreated in other games, including Blood. It's a shame they went under some time ago

Hmmm, whoops, I think I changed perspective haflway through that sentence. No, there weren't other game maps recreated in Blood, there were Blood maps recreated in other games, including UT and Q3. Can't remember which other games might've had any, but the site generally carried old maps redone in Q2/3, UT, HL etc.

i myself converted (recreated) Bodies into duke3d and shadow warrior, including all the textures and correct sizes. pretty easy job, but i didnt had any converter though both conversions turned out pretty good and 100% accurate in architecture. now they're lost somewhere. had great fun playing that map in duke3d and sw. :)

Does any one happen to have this map? It appears that Unreal Playground no longer has it in their database. I came across a used copy of UT2K4 for $6 today and was pretty stoked about giving it a run.

Requires registration, but if you have trouble, just say something and I'll upload it. I haven't tried it yet myself, still haven't even installed UT2K4 ;\

Does anyone remember the author asking to use any of the Transfusion models in his map? I'd like to download it and check, but navigation is a pain, and yes there is that registration thing I'm not overly thrilled to do....

As far as I recall, there was no permission asked, but FrightFan would probably be the one to ask on that subject.

As for models, he used the old cultist model (with old skins) and the rat, and tons of textures for TF, everything else was UT models and their respective skins.
