GOG.com have now added Linux support to their release of One Unit: Whole Blood.

I am currently downloading the Linux tarball, so I can not say how well it plays as of yet, but if it runs anywhere near as good as their already released Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior Linux DOSBox wrappers we should be golden.
Honestly though, I am still a little surprised that it showed up for Linux, considering how difficult it was to get Blood onto GOG.com in the first place.

Re: GOG.com brings the Blood experience to Linux
So mixed feelings so far.
The good news: the game launches fine, with cutscenes and music, and seems faster than my own custom configuration.
The bad news: the CD Music tracks only play once and then stop, and it does not have a selection screen for Cryptic Passage like Shadow Warrior does for its expansions. It does not seem to provide me with any easy way of launching it.
The latter is actually pretty bad. I honestly was expecting better than this.

Re: GOG.com brings the Blood experience to Linux
So apparently one can launch Cryptic Passage by supplying the addon parameter to the launch script:
It could still be much better exposed though. And I still have the problem of the music not looping right.-s, --start - start Blood - One Unit Whole Blood
-c, --client - start Blood - One Unit Whole Blood client
-r, --server - start Blood - One Unit Whole Blood server
-t, --settings - start Blood - One Unit Whole Blood settings
-a, --addon - start Blood - One Unit Whole Blood addon
-v, --version - show version of this package

Too bad....
I hope they clean it up a little bit.
PS:I completely forgot about Quake Wars:Enemy Territory. I used to love that game.

Besides the music problem I am mostly cool with it now that I know how to use the launch parameters, but I suppose I should ask how well the music works for everyone using the GOG.com wrapper on Windows. Does it loop fine for you?
At any rate, I have gone to the trouble of creating two distinct custom launchers for the GOG.com version. One is a command-line prompt using BASH and the other is a graphical launcher using Zenity.

I can't help but feel that I have been doing a lot of their own work for them though.
