Blood 2 mapping
Hey there people i was wondering about something if it's somehow possible that that someone could help out how i could start mapping with blood 2, maybe someone who has msn messenger maybe that i could further help kurt out with his blood 2 ressurection mod?
Messing with dedit can be intimidating. Just geting the the editor unrezed was hard as I remember. Then you have to unpack the media. Once you've figured that particuar command line out (this is were I got stuck) you have to get the dedit guide from shogo, assuming that's still around.
Luckily, Blood2 dedit comes with some unrez software built in....which doesn't work at all
Memory leaks abound... Textures will actually fight your attempts to align them
In short, it ain't q radiant
What's your experience as far as mapping goes?
Are you prone to headaches?
Are you willing to become prone to headaches?
Are your vaccinations up to date?
Do you believe in gOd?
Are you willing to change your religion?
Would you call the possibility of losing your friends and family "a show stopper"?
Depending on your answers to the above questions, you might be ready for dedit. After that we can begin the process of determining wether or not dedit is ready for you.

Mic's Gamester site had some nice tutorials for beginners:
http://www.planetblood.com/gamester/help/
There is also alot of info at the old Planetshogo:
http://www.planetshogo.com/editing/
And there is some advanced stuff at the old mod maker site for AvP:
http://www.planetavp.com/modmaker/
the AvP site uses a little different version of Dedit but alot of the stuff works for B2.

I do appreciate any help that anyone is willing to offer, and I'll be attempting to do my best to greatly simplify the process of creating levels for Blood 2.
I've already begun that process and it should become almost as simple as copying and pasting, in the future. I also plan on creating plenty of very easy to understand tutorials so the entire process will become less of a torturous ordeal.
But for the time being I can only suggest that you read up on any DEdit tutorials that you can find on the internet. The editor may have grown new features with more recent games, but the basics have remained unchanged over time.
Shogo would probably be the best place to start.

I dont think so, I believe it was AvP2 only....
AvP's engine was done by Rebellion I think:
http://www.rebellion.co.uk/
If I remember right, it was thier own engine.
