Transfusion video

Post by predator »

Have a look at a short video if you're interested. It's about 28 MB in size. Save to your HD and watch.

Another video with Single Player elements will follow later.

Well, those are new map versions, and they are all in q3bsp format.
You'll soon be able to see them for yourself, they'll be included in beta4.

The graphics, the details, and the vastness of the engine and the levels are beautiful! Please, show us the single-player video. I can see you are really going to ressurrect the Blood series. I salute you, noble chosen ones of the Caleb the Great Redeemer! The mountains outside of the Hall of Epihpany felt like real mountains! The Dark Places engine was a superb choice. God, Lord knows what you are going to do with the Phantasm and Cheogh the Stone Gargoyle with this engine. Blood will feel completely new by the time you finsih this. Bravo!

I used a few tools:

Fraps - to record some action clips (but you already have yours)
Virtual Dub - to trim clips and merge them into one short movie.
Virtual Dub also allowed me to extract the audio to a wav file.
Goldwave with lame dll - to mix the extracted video sound with Blood music and convert it to mp3 (of course you can use any other program to do it).
Nandub - to combine the movie with its sound in mp3 format (Virtual Dub doesn't support mp3, that's why I had to use Nandub).
Then I used either Nanbud or Virtual Dub to save the whole thing as the final avi using XviD video codec.

It may sound complicated but all those programs are very simpe and easy to use.
I should also mention that Virtual Dub and Nandub are free and so is the XviD codec. :)
