Current Beta information.

Post by Willis »

I'll try and keep this post up to date myself, but I'm sure others will be helping me.

Current final release:
http://files.deathmask.net/transfusion-1.01-win32.exe 1.01 -Windows
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/bloo ... p?download 1.0 - Linux
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/bloo ... p?download 1.01 patch - Linux

Current beta release:
1.1beta3 is current
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/bloo ... p?download 1.1beta3
1.1beta4 is in the works.

Things expected to come soon to the next release (1.1beta4):
More skinned world models.
More complete E1 maps.
Improved RealTime Lighting support.
Switching to Q3BSP map format to impiment crouching.
Other stuff I'm probably not aware of.

SEALAB ROCKS. What was with the one normal episode though?

The new release was cool, but I mostly noticed GUI inclusions of the Darkplaces options. But DP is melded with another project, which I forgot what it is. :-p

You haven't checked the dates, so it's probably dead.... yeah ok, one of the team mappers here I talk to a lot says he's been mapping lately, so OBVIOUSLY..... it's still being worked on! :o

Hell man... did you even check the showcase thread? Some one - I forget who for now- even displayed a fully modeled and skinned axe zombie! hell, oBe even showcased all the stuff he skinned within A WEEK! Plus there's sign of postings going on in the developer's thread, so obviously there's some life in this project.

So ... yeah. I'm pretty sure it's being worked on.

Nevertheless this project is not dead.

If some of you have missed it we decided to move from q1bsp format to q3bsp. Right now our maps are being converted and updated. It allows crouching, it improves collision system and it also usually improves framerate.

Here's a picture showing shots of the old (left) and the new (right) version of The Hall of The Epiphany:
