Re: Show us your gaming desk setups
From what I've seen Doom is exactly what I want. I don't see a reason to mod it like Doom 3. I do however see myself making sp maps for it and Snapmap will take care of that. If u don't get to play it I can see it as a great loss. Over and over again I read there's nothin like it. How it's definitely FPS of the year because of it. I hope u figure something out because id hate for anybody not to experience it. I'm staying up late tonight.

Ok played about 4 maps in and Doom is the best FPS I've ever played. Pure skill is needed. Adrenaline at its best. Never gets old. Constant survival without any slow down. It's Doom at it's best!

No game should be purposefully made beyond the reach of modders, especially one with Doom in its title. Snapmap is a neat idea, but no substitute for the real deal. Your lack of concern does strikes me as strange coming from someone with so much personal involvement in the modding community. It would be like me accepting being blocked from making any new fandom Wikis.VGames wrote:From what I've seen Doom is exactly what I want. I don't see a reason to mod it like Doom 3. I will take your concern for my lack of potential enjoyment in the friendly manner in which it is given, but I do not find myself to be too aggrieved.VGames wrote:If u don't get to play it I can see it as a great loss. I am glad that you are having fun though.

Dude if you haven't played it then you just don't understand. It's simply amazing. Pulse pounding. Adopt windows long enough to play it. Don't miss out.

Looks good man. I still need to post pics of my desk. Never got around to doing it.
My desk is old too. Could use a new finish as well. Probably won't ever do it though.
Are those rolls of duct tape under your monitor?

Actually that is an old Kirkland Iced Tea canister that just happens to be the right height. I just put some Gorilla Tape around it to make it more attractive.
I should probably invest in a wall mount at some point though just to ensure none of my cats knock my screen down. Again.
Come to think of it though, I would have thought the cattle syringes would have caused more comment.

I knew that's what those were for. Doesn't surprise me at all.
I'll post a pic of my desk soon.

And yeah, it just happens to fit the base of my CRT Monitor perfectly.
Re: Show us your gaming desk setups
Just ordered my new PC last night:
I7 8700k 6 core CPU w/ liquid cooling
16 gigs DDR4 RAM
Nvidia GTX 1080 TI GPU 11 Gig
1TB SSD
And the case will be one of these suckers. The latest in Thermaltake tech. The Thermaltake View 71 RGB:

I'll post some pics once I get it set up.

Re: Show us your gaming desk setups
I saw a YouTube video the other day saying it was impossible to get by now with only 4 GB of RAM.
I really should at least get myself another 4 GB stick one of these days then...
