Hmmm, I guess you can use the Transfusion page for now. It's not like we update our own ModDB.com page :P A number of Blood related projects are hosted on the same server as Transfusion (Deathmask.net), run by Willis. If you want to set up your own site in future give him a yell and he may be able t...

To assist translating those issues. I assume there's some gripe about Steam having its fangs in Doom? Doesn't matter, doom2.wad is still a part of Doom 2 and still under Doom 2's license (the media license, not the GPL). If you want it you buy it. If you can't buy it, you go without. The links on th...

Just to expand on what Slink's hinting at, there are some textures and objects which have been replaced with 3D models. The corpse over the door of the crematorium in E1M1 for example; originally a sprite attached to the wall, this has been redone to give a 3D appearance. Generally, if something loo...

New (Improved?) FAQ
General What is Transfusion? Transfusion is a recreation of the classic Monolith game Blood using the DarkPlaces engine. Why are you doing this? Transfusion is intended to be the best thing next to getting the source code for Blood (see The Blood Source Release Campaign). It has become difficult to...

A few quick comments, since my browser crashed while writing up a larger post. It's also made me crankier than usual. Transfusion is staying open source. I don't have Windows or HL2, not everybody does. We're not being bound by it. We're not making D3/HL2 quality assets because we're recreating Bloo...

If it's so unstable then please tell us, or tell the coder of DarkPlaces, instead of bitching about it in the forums and expecting us to see it and interpret it for what it is. Go into the Beta Discussion or Transfusion Discussion forum and put it down in a post with as much information as you can p...

I would say it sounds like the vsync issue which affects Blood 2 (even fully patched to 2.1) in Win2K/XP (if not more OS's). For some reason the menu, and possible the game itself, won't visually render because of some issue with high fps levels and the engine not handling them properly. I don't kno...

Transfusion achieves this because the engine is capable of reading the file format used on the music in the pak file (Ogg Vorbis I think). To do the same with Quake 2 you'd probably have to rip the music in a similar fashion, then find an engine which supports your chosen format. It's probably not a...

I have stated many times to team members and in this forum that I think you have to be careful with a project like this that you dont bite off more than you can chew. All the fancy new things are nice but not necessary IMO. Transfusion suffers from this... I've seen you mention it before, but I sti...
