I think you are taking it a little bit too hard, and personally. If members of Transfusion had to judge their efforts by some of the replies to topics we've posted; to requests for modding help over the years, asking for play testing help and FAQ questions (seen that player movement thread with 0 re...

Open the console and type "maplist" to see what maps are included with the release.

I don't see a problem with having a thread about Killing Time in these forums. It is in the General Gaming section after all, where people are free to talk about all sorts of games. Whether an old (or new) game is good enough to be praised and played is up to the individual - I happen to like the mo...

Because you're comparing apples and oranges. The depiction of violence is legal. Even the depiction of violations of human decency is legal, even if in bad taste. Note the term depiction, which is different from COMMITTING acts of violence or rights abuse, which are illegal (in most countries). Post...

Aw come on, how is that illegal or anything? Because it's still part of the retail game. Here's a starting point for you to read ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abandonware ) as apparently you have a bit of trouble understanding the legal concept. You then attempted to circumvent the removed link by...

It could very well be improbable or impractical to buy this, or any number of older games these days (no point in keeping old stuff when there's a lot of new crap to churn through...). Personally I'm not going to take issue if people source such games from wherever they can. Officially, however, the...

There is no legally accepted definition of "abandonware", however if you can purchase it then it's obviously not abandoned. I thought there was a sticky post somewhere regarding the forums stance on "abandonware", but I can't find it. I might have to make a new one up.

It's called an expansion pack. Obviously you are not aware of Blood's Plasma Pack or Cryptic Passage being the same kind of deal. Hmmm, maybe not entirely the same deal. Cryptic Passage and Plasma Pak could be picked up separately to Blood. The 1.21 patch could also be applied regardless of expansi...

Unzipping with the existing folder options fixed my problem. Not sure why this happens since I usually have that option automatically. Perhaps you could add a note in to the release notes saying that you should have the zip folders. I'll post my feedback and suggestions of the beta later. I'll add ...

I have downloaded and extracted all the files to my chosen folder, but when I go to open Transfusion.exe, nothing happens. It seems strange since I also have 1.01 with the patch installed and that version is running fine. My specs: Intel p4 2.6ghz, 1.5gb ram, 9600xt Would you be able to follow the ...

Start simple. Change some weapon damage values, redo a skin for an existing model (just beware of distributing the original game's content). Then, add simple things together to make more complex things (e.g. recode the Doom3 fists to do Blood's damage, work on converting that pitchfork to an unanima...

To do the work for you, no. To give advice on modelling, yes. I'm busy with Transfusion and the Real World, but if you have a question (hopefully not application-related ) I can try to answer it.

Transfusion 1.05 beta

The Transfusion Project is happy to announce a new release. This is the beta version of 1.05, which we hope will eventually be polished into a full replacement for 1.01. Grab the file from here: http://www.transfusion-game.com/files/beta/transfusion-1.05-beta.zip Now this is what you may consider a ...

I know that I converted the sound files to Ogg Vorbis, probably using something like OggDrop. I can't remember if I did the same with the MIDI, I probably would've only done that with access to the original WAV files to maintain some quality.
