Thanks a lot, wangho. You really notice all the details and subtleties in a map. It makes the whole effort really worth it. Yes, this map is brand new and took less than a month to make. I felt guilty about the "Town" map and hence made a replacement.

Updated Carnage version available. Contains a new (starting) level, a new final boss level, some new art and cutscenes should always work. No real ending though,

I have a question too - Ctrl+F does'nt work for keeping white fog as far as the game itself is concerned. Anyone know a workaround to this, without actually making changes in the palette?

Using "barf -x sounds.rff" should place all .raw files in a new /raw dir. "barf -r sounds.rff" should extract sounds.rfs which is the script file.

Thats true wangho and that's why I included it in the addon despite it being my earlier effort. Perhaps I should make it a secret level? People complained most about that level and hence I thought I should replace it?

Blood uses sounds in .RAW format. I used a s/w called "Goldwave" to convert wavs and other formats to RAW.

First you need to extract sounds.rfs using barf.exe from Sounds.rff. Then edit the former and add the command lines for the new sounds.

Then do this

"barf sounds.rff -u *.raw -f@sounds"

TCC improvement underway

Dear Bloodites,

I just completed a cool new map and plan to add it to TCC. My question is, should I replace the "Town" level with it or keep the Town (tc1m4) level? With Obe's help, hopefully there should be a proper ending to the addon as well, among other few enhancements.

Even with hardly any enemies, Bloodlines succeeds thanks to atmosphere. (Barring maps like the Cathedral and the airplane etc) It must have been a tough decision on the individual mapper's part to pretty much do away with combat in their respective maps but it works towards the betterment of the ove...

Interesting Map. The Jumping Phantasm could have been moved in front to scare the player.

Been playing HL-2 Ep-1. Never before have I played a game so annoying and irritating. Totally sucks and I keep getting stuck where there are no walls! Is it worth playing it to the end?

Weather in Blood Shareware

If you check out Blood.ini in the shareware version, there is something called "Weather = 0,1,2 or 3" where 1 = rain, 2=snow and 3=blood. When implemented, it did'nt really do anything. Anyone know what this was about?

Am working on a new level as a part of a possible update to TCC. Priority no.1 is atmosphere but should I tone down the puzzles and include lots of action?
