suppose I have a stack of crates. Do I need to create a sector to make its shadow? What about an arch? Does the floor underneath need darker shading? Also, do indoor sectors always have darker shading than outdoor sectors?

Giving Life To Levels

Someone who reviewed "Shrapnel City" (the first level in the LOI remake I am working on) on blood.freeminded said that it "needs more life". Can someone please explain what it means to give a level "life"?

while playing certain maps, I noticed that some parts of the floor are either lighter or darker. Sectors directly underneath the sky are lighter. Some darker sectors are used as shadows from other objects such as pillars. Are these necessary?

Lighting in Maps

I'm currently working on the re-release of Legends of Iconoclast. I want to put better lighting in my maps and I'm putting in depth cueing as well. But just a couple of questions. How do I know how much depth cueing a level needs? What is meant by good lighting?

what I meant by making changes to the storyline so that the plot has nothing to do with the events of Blood, I was thinking of changing certain character names, giving part 1 and 2 a new protagonist, and removing the references to Caleb, Ishmael, Gabriel, and Ophelia.
