It looks like he's just taken one of the Transfusion logos and slaped it into Q2E.

Upon further inspection, this guy is looking for trouble.
Granted the mod version is free, he certainly appears to be stealing work, and is a little confused on the subject of open source and freeware. Because something is free to use, doesn't mean its free to reuse.

He didn't write his engine, and at most all he has done is added small effects (blood decals, shadows, fog, etc...) and plastered his name all over it.

Furthermore, he plans on commercially selling this which would mean he'd have had to have boughten a $10,000 lisence from ID, which based on the content of his mod, doesn't look likely, as it doesn't even contain a single non-quake2 map, much less model, or anything but sounds.

He cannot sell any code taken from an open source engine (q2e).
Or other intellectual property non owned by him (the TF logo LOL).

Well, it seems that the only thing he's done with our game media is use the Transfusion logo. And honestly most of that is original Blood artwork, so it's probably more of a violation of Blood copyrights than it is ours. We can use the image legaly because we were granted permission to do so from Monolith and Atari. This Michael guy almost clearly has not. I know I wasn't contacted about using the logo.

It's not like anyone would get our project confused with what he's doing. and untill today his page count hasnt gone over 10 the entire two years he's had it up.

Q2E has been contacted about the game. They may want to take some action with his abuse of the GPL.
