Good to hear. I think you're the only one around here who can get this done without having to start with the basics first. Good luck.

Incidentally, as well as the files Peter Hopkins has also released a bunch of old trailers showing a lot of the architecture and even some of the scritped sequences intended for Revelations:

The last two have to be my favourite.

That music is crazy! Seeing the levels functioning is very helpful indeed.

Dammit! The Revalations team could really put flesh on the bones of those haunted city-scapes only hinted at in vanilla b2, couldn't they?!

Why do I feel as though the blood community has suffered yet another major loss?

I'm excited about the release of these files. Thank you, wherever you are, Revelations guy!

I'm trying to play this on my GOG.com copy of Blood 2, but it doesn't seem to read Custom games well. I've created a Custom folder, but it doesn't read any mods I put in it. I need guidance!

Also BTW - WRT missing textures, if you extract all of the retail .rez files and put the extracted files under \blood2 sub-folder in the main blood 2 folder. So you should have something like c:\blood2\blood2 - extracted rez files go in the 2nd blood 2 folder (including:cres.dll, cshell.dll, object.lto, sres.dll and blood2.dep) as well as all of the additional sub-folders/files extracted from the main rez files. Then move the .rez files out of the \blood2 (the first sub-folder) - don't delete them, just move them out of the Blood2 project - I.e. stick 'em on your desktop for now

Next download the PikaCommando shared out and extract the files, the folders/files stored in the \Revelations sub-folder (which has folders such as \Interface, \Models, \Skins, etc.) should be directly copied in to the second Blood2 folder (created in the first step), which contains the extracted .rez files. Windows will ask to replace existing folders, agree to this procedure.

Finally take all of the Revelations maps in .dat form (from the dropbox share I gave) and put them in the \WORLDS sub-folder in the second Blood2 folder (again created in the 1st step, containing the extracted .rez files).

In summary the textures are referenced assets in the compiled map files, so you'll need to place the new textures/sprites/animatedtextures etc. in the existing blood2 project for them to show up.

Run the Blood2.exe and on the windows launcher go to advanced and add in the following command to the Command-Line field (without quotations) "+enableretaillevels 1"

Then launch the game, go to Single Player > Custom - you should see all of the retail blood 2 levels here now as well as the Revelations ones.

Launch a revelations level and if the above steps worked you'll be cooking with gas.

I zipped up a REZ file of the Revelations data so people can try out the single and BB test maps for themselves a little easier.

Just download the Revelations.zip from here:
http://www.filedropper.com/revelations

Extract the rez file into your Blood2\Custom folder

Launch Blood 2 as normal (Either B2 or Nightmares) and load Revelations.REZ under "Customize" button

Don't forget what Blaze said to also add the command +enableretaillevels 1 under "Advanced" button [you must do this to be able to select which level you want to play]

Then launch game and select Single Player, then Custom Level.

The Revelations Levels are listed as:

01_WAREHOUSE
03_TRAINTRIP
04_SUBWAYSTATION
05_TRAINTRIP2
06_SUBWAYSYSTEM2
07_SEWERSYSTEM
08_CITYSTREETS
09_OFFICEENTERANCE
10_MAINOFFICES
13_TEMPLETUNNELS
14_ROCKPASS
15_HAUNTEDMILL

you can also load the other test and BB test maps.

@Vgames:If you want to try out Extra Crispy with this load your REZ files after Revelations.REZ

PS:if anyone has a better file host, feel free to upload it and post a link.

Have fun!

Sorry, let me find a different host. I don't like that the first one wants an email address.

New host added, updated original post.

Yeah, that one works for me. Now that I have it, I uploaded it to the Blood Wiki for more permanent hosting:
http://www.blood-wiki.org/Random/REVELATIONS-REZ.zip

I also updated the relevant section on the Blood II: Revelations article:
http://www.blood-wiki.org/index.php/Blo ... ons#Legacy

EDIT: I have now uploaded the initial raw data to the Blood Wiki as well:
