Blood movie project

Post by Vanargand »

Hello to all Blood fans! I am new to Transfusion forums, but not at all to Blood. I imagin beeing here is already a sign of beeing fan! I believe Blood to be the best FPS ever and still play it (way) more than any new game I buy. It is for that reason that at the beginning of this year I decided to produce a non-profit movie of Blood. A sequel! Since then I have been planing, buying and writing like a mad man and first signs of realisation are visible! One trailer in form of a rather large teaser is on youtube, Link: http://youtu.be/3qGQpRpqOJk. I would be happy to recieve some feedback from other Blood veterans!
Greetings to all!

Sorry for not replying to this sooner, it sounds like an interesting amateur project. Unfortunately watching videos, especially of that size, is not an option for me at the moment with our current bandwidth cap. But still, it does sound interesting. :)

Thanks! :-) Well, I do hope to get some moral assistance from Blood fans. Until now I have been pretty alone with all, its expensive and time consuming. But its fun and I hope at the end worth it! Im doing it for every Blood fan out there, even if that includes me! :-) Of course I do hope to get the right attention of game developers too. Who knows, perhaps it will show them the franchise is worth another shot!? :-) So, hope to do this with you guys at my side!

Happy to help if I can. Can you maybe post some pictures from the trailer, so I can have some idea of the visual style and the like you are going for?

I usually just upload them to ImageShack and use the provided Forum thumbnail code. Hope that helps. :)

Interesting, the eyes in my opinion should be a bit darker, but other than that I do not have any real complaints. Nice progress!

Where are you going to be filming this by the way? You could probably make it work anywhere, but I do not recall seeing any poplar trees in Blood or Blood II. :P

Though if you can you should be filming in a darker setting to fit with the ambience, rather than in the daylight, if your filming technology can handle it. But I do assume you have something better than our cheap camcorder...

Keep me updated on your progress, and if the work continues I will probably write you up a Blood Wiki article on it. :)

The movie is filmed here in Luxemburg! The vegetation is part of two reasons, first is that its difficult here to film in towns because the people are not very tolerant! Second is that most of the world of Blood will have been overtaken by the power of the book of the dead (Necronomicon), which has a central role in the movie, so we will be seeing burning towns, but not much shots in them. There eill however be some very interesting places, but I rather keep it for surprise if you dont mind!? Depending on the succes of this project we will ask in the communities to liberate us some places to film in in the sequels! Of course the movies will mostly become a darker tone. A few shots will be in daylight to get a tick of a realistic world turning to s***! :-) So there will be dark and even red skies in progress of the story! (A positive thing is that those who read my skripts were very positively surprised and thrilled! Gotta bring it to action now!)
An article would be awesome and I take your advice to heart! As will be any advice that will hopefully come :-)
At the end I like to remind every reader that we do this on spare time and on our own costs. This will not have Hollywood quality! But I am giving my soul and heart into this, Im a giant Blood fan and the game has given me incredibly great times, so I'll be damned by Tchernabog himself if I let this fail! Lets se what bloody results it will bring! :-)

Okay, sounds thrilling. Once you have decided on a title for your project I will endeavour to create an article. :)

The story will be in 5 seperate episodes. The overall title is Blood: Resurrection of evil. Episode 1: Caleb's awakening, 2: Ophelia's nightmare, 3: curse of crystal lake, 4: Gabriella's haunting, 5: shadows of Tchernabog. The titles do give a hint to one of Bloods cult points, some iconic Horror figures shal have some parts to play in it too! Thats what the trailer shows by the way! Caleb will once more be in the middle of dark forces trying to overwelm the world! And the world will have to do with our favorite bad good guy to save it! :evillaugh: The ending will be wide open for sequels if we are successfull! I already have ideas! :-)

All right, I have knocked together a quick article for your project:
http://www.blood-wiki.org/index.php/Blo ... on_of_Evil

With a name like that I have to assume you have had to have played Doom 3 at least once?

Oh, and I notice you use VLC, nice. :)

Hey cool! :-) Like the article! I already was exited, but every day it gets more intense! Little side info, I have found someone (yet another Blood fan!) who remakes several Blood themes for this project! He is called Neurological and some of his pieces are on the internet! He does impressive work I find and I already used two of his tracks in the trailer! He has a Website too: http://www.neuro-lab.net/music/main.html. Ges I'm gonna paint the town red! :guns:
Thanks for your assist so far! This project is allmost all about the fans whos attention I first need to get, so your great help! :-)

Interesting, I think I have encountered some of his work before. I at least recognize some of the names on the project page. 8)

Hey, its my pleasure. Talking with Tamás Tóth of The Flesh Game showed me just what taking an interest can do, so I always try to be encouraging when I can. :)
