Silent Hill 4

Post by Ra_Ra_Gazaa »

Silent Team break a lot of tradition yet still manage to give me the creeps!

I can understand why people are disappointed though...

Anybody else played this game?

I played the first and second installments of the Silent Hill series, I was pretty yound when I played the first one though. Freaked the crap out of me. By the time I was finsihed with it, I was more p*** off than scared. I mean, looking under the roof of a specific doghouse out of many to find a key to a house? It was pretty irritating for me, but mostly beause at that age I was none too bright.

I think the map was there to help since it pointed it out.

SH4 compresses the puzzle element in favour for more combat. For example, it has an interesting melee catalogue. I played through much of my first run with the Rusty Axe! Oh, many of these weapons have charge attacks too. Fun fun.

I'm not to far into it, still stuck in the first part of the map. I'm one key short of being able to open the locked door in the house. But I ran out of ammo and those terradactal things keep killing me. So I've not really played it for months. I think I'll just start again.

Go for it Vulgar.

Why was PC port of SH3 "HORRIBLE"?

SH1's terradactal things are sometimes annoying, especially if you try to run away from one and then they gain speed from some sneaky, and some might say, unforgiving computer language. Not fun. At least they don't appear throughout the whole game. Perhaps they're there to teach one to appreciate the indoor locations. :)
