That sounds like my Geforce2 problem. Must be based off the old working core than the failing FX one. ;)

Escorter wrote:I have another Blood 2 problem on XP: no in-game music. I hear the music in the main menu, but not in the game.
Blood 2 uses the DirectMusic API for music, and I don't get ingame music either in Win2k, so it's obvious a bug on M$'s part. They pretty much abandoned dmusic now with mp3/ogg at the rise, so i dunno.

This is what i had when i installed Blood 2
im using a Geforce 5200 XFX overclocked to a 200MB(lol)
ok heres how to get it to work with everything going
1:go to Display settings change render to Software then change reslution to 800x600x16 click ok
2: go to advanced options enable poly-gap fixing, triple buffering and opimized sufaces
then click on the 3d sound button and let it find your sound hardware
it shoud then come up with a sound sittings window and some sound cards to choose from pick microsoft directsound3d with creative labs EAX
click ok
3:click play and see if these options work for you
