I don't think I'll ever get to see that first hand at this rate. Can someone tell me what it is please?

with no cooldown at all, so you can just push z continously and have literally a stream of them.

Keep it in! All you hear is that terrible Alpha explosion sound!

It's the secondary fire of a melee weapon! Of course it is! :P

Haven't you seen the canister attached to the bottom of the Pitchfork?

Hmmm… I haven’t seen this alpha-pitchfork either. But… isn’t it kind of unfair? You don’t need other weapons if you have such a nice magical napalm-throwing pitchfork with unlimited (yes?) ammo. Killing bad guys with spending no ammo is great(in some cases) and I shouldn’t remember Clive Barker’s Undying once again in this thread.
Okay, and how does this magical pitchfork work? I don’t understand, for example, how works melee painkiller or three-barrel shotgun or minigun apart from helicopter… Oh, whatever…

ok, too many people are missing the sarcasm in my posts.

It was a joke, the pitchfork alt-fire in alpha was when they were experimenting with weapons. I don't think at that time they had a napalm launcher sprite yet, but had a few interesting fire modes already worked out, and I'm guessing just attached to some random weapons for testing purposes.

So I was joking about the pitchfork alt-fire being a napalm ball.

yeah, that was for testing purposes only.
they did have a napalm launcher sprite though, but you couldn't fire with it. there was animation if u did, but nothing came out of it :) sorta like UT's first weapon (don't know the name of it) but without the killing effect :)

It's ok, mate. I knew it was sarcasm, just didn't feel like reacting because I didn't WHY you were sarcastic. No point in jumping the gun, ya know? But at least now I know what you're on about.

Intresting... Ah hopefully my own comp when I get one'll... have win98 on it. Seeing the Alpha in action would be nice.

And Deathmask:Yeah Probably... Never noticed it damage really. (Oh, and I find the chainsaw strangely useless too...)
