Randi Heit, master coder for the highly popular zdoom port for doom, has started testing the possibility of using his port to run Blood.

Based on the link above, it's starting to look as if Randy is trying to scoop the entire build engine.

Oh really now? Many years back, I read that ZDoom is capable of running BUILD maps to an extent.

Ancient versions of zdoom could copy the geometry of a build map, yes, but to actually run the map is pretty significant. Unfortunately zdoom offers few if any advantages over other projects targeting blood or other build games. Can you imagine having to compile a dll. for every swinging door or sliding wall? zdoom doesn't increase modifiction possibilities at all, and you can forget networking.
