Has anyone successfully played a 16bit raw sound in Blood1?
I was able to do 16bit at 22050 sample rate but higher(such as 44100) it wouldn't play correctly.
Don't know if its a bug in Blood or DosBox EMU yet.

I was under the impression that dos box had VDM sound built in? *shrugs* It sould be able to handle anything blood throws at it sound wise.
Re: Blood1 16 bit sound?
Correction, a 5 minute visit to Vogons straightened me out. DosBox does not contain or depend upon VDMsound.

Re: Blood1 16 bit sound?
On my old PC, Blood plays 16 bit sound just fine.
You might want to avoid having more than eight voices tho.

Re: Blood1 16 bit sound?
I'm talking about 16 raw data sounds, not the settings for a sound card in the blood.cfg
Well as far as testing, 16 bit is not working correctly, maybe my raw data. It seems as if I can not find the correct FORMAT for the raw.
Next I'm going to test 8bit at 44100 sample rate since all Blood sounds are 22050 and under.

Re: Blood1 16 bit sound?
okay
save your RAW file as
8-bit unsigned PCM mono 44100 sample rate
and all your new sounds will well sound better. See BME's Blood site for more details: http://www.baitd.bloodgame.ru/bme.htm
That's where I got started.
as far as 16 bit sound, still up in the air, theres definatly a bug somewhere, be it Blood's mixer or DOSBox EMU...
