Weird glitch in Dosbox with Shareware Blood

First off, apologies if this is in the wrong section, and if this has been mentioned before. I didn't know what terms etc. I should search for so I thought I'd ask.

Okay, I am playing the free-to-download SHAREWARE version of Blood, version 1.11, and I'm using Dosbox on a Windows 7 laptop.

The glitch is that when I set people on fire with the flare gun, sometimes they don't die and just keep running around on fire forever. I've never seen this happen in a native DOS environment, only in Dosbox.

So what's the deal? Is this a known issue? Is it fixable? Admittedly I think it kinda makes the game scarier but I'd still like the option to fix it.

Never have encountered it myself, but I always play with the One Unit: Whole Blood version.
