Monolith Blood Icon Set for Windows 7

Post by No One »

I represent to your attention the collection from 20 icons intended for Windows 7. I have created them already for a long time, for USB on which I store files. They not PNG-Compressed therefore it should work and under older versions Windows (XP and more low). Probably it is required to someone.

Nice work, and can be made to work on Linux by converting them to PNG by the way.

Here is also another Icon made for Blood II:

the DLL file is used as a resource file containing the icons. An example would be how shell32.dll works for Windows.

I think I got that right.

"No One" gave this explanation elsewhere.

right, but I just applied the ico file to my shortcut and it seems to work fine without the DLL. Am I missing some kind of flashy effect? Not sure I want one if I am.

I use DLL file for myself because it is more convenient to store icons, to copy and transfer them on USB. Thus it simply "archive" where all icons are stored. Anything else there isn't present.

Oh, yes. I had forgotten that you can archive ICO files inside a DLL. Thankyou for your patience. :D

All but the last link is dead. It would be appreciated if you reuploaded these.

Well, I only have the plain old unpacked icons downloaded as they are the only things of use to me on Linux (and even then I will probably be converting them to PNG for my own purposes), but I have uploaded what I have to my icculus.org account webspace:

http://icculus.org/~hamish/blood/Monoli ... on_Set.rar

If No One is reading this, if you need better hosting, send your DLL Icons to me and I can host them for you. I now have the hosting but not the Internet to live a fully fulfilled life.
