Sometimes it's the Triple Buffering option that causes that blackness,
just go inot the 'Advanced' menu option on the external game setup window and tick all the 'Enable' tick boxes.

Sorry for late reply i was away :D

Yeah, but please note I said the drivers suck, not nvidia. On the same hardware you'll get much better results if you play Blood 2 through Wine on a *nix.

If you're a religious windows user, you could probably make a quick Slax live cd with an nvidia driver module and a Wine module just for playing. It'll be those old Boot Disk days again.

hi, I used to play blood 2 a few years back, but now I want to have another bash at it just for nostalgia. I tried it before on my win XP machine and the problems I experienced were:

black menu screens but with music playing

you could go into config menus and set up the controls how you wished, but if I remember right, it would not save the configurations for next time you played it, meaning it would snap back to the default controls and such like.

And when I played this years back I remember it caused me a fair few monitor-punching problems, blood 2 the badly made game that would freeze at any random time forcing you to reboot etc. if there's anything that can be done about the config-amnesiac issue, i'd be glad to know of it.

edit it the way you want and mark it as a read-only file when you are done.

Don't see why not. You might want to run the setup.exe in compatibility mode, & welcome to the forum.
