TF Video Problems

Post by I Live...AGAIN »

Ok guys. I haven't played TF in awhile. I was trying to get an install to work so I could get a match with Corbin going.

I downloaded TF 1.05 Beta 2

Installed on 2 different XP SP3 machines.
1 with Nvidia GT9800
1 with Nvidia GS8600

Both machines have the same problem.

Menus work fine, when you start the game all you can see is the skybox. You can move around and see map entities but nothing else, only the skybox.

I updated drivers, I tried replacing opengl32.dll, soo far no luck.

I receive this console error "Permutation light source failed for shader GLSL /default GLSL, some features may not work properly"

Any ideas?

Pulls out old bag of answers
1. Have you tried running Transfusion with the latest Darkplaces executable?

Do you have to input some type of switch to run TF with the exe? I get the TF menus but when I start a game it crashes......

okay, it looks like 20090709 is crashing for me as well.

You could try the beta build of Darkplaces. It looks like they built that a few days ago. http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/ ... 4beta1.zip It seems to work for me, though the HUD has reverted back to the old Q1 style HUD for some reason.

Thanks Chris!

For anyone interested, the version Dusty posted works. Problem solved.
