I still need to tweak the colours abit and add some dirt, but I was just dang proud I had to show you:

Turns out Photoshop 7.0 saves TGA's in 24 bit format without the Alpha Channel. CS however saves 32bit so I don't need the master the gimp anymore.

BTW: I've got an old monitor so the gamma and the contrast's f*** up.

Changed colour so it matches the original and added some grass at the roots.

Can I call it done?

I'd darken the grass a bit so it blends in with that grass and dirt texture which is used pretty much everywhere for grass.

Hope you find this a little more to your likings. Though I don't think it really blends in as the ground texture gets blurry from a distance but the skins stay crystalclear in the background. I could just remove it?

Could you make them a bit more 'grey' (as in: less colour)? They seem to be standing out a bit. Should be easy enough to change I think (filter the entire image).

Ow, and nice work! ;)

You could try your hand at redoing that ground texture as well ;) thats one that is used a lot, so it wouldn't hurt to redo it. That one, and the green ivy type walls (where the first zombie is in e1m1). But I guess that shouldn't take priority from world objects.

You'll get it if you make the trees solid!

Actually, he doesn't have to do anything.
Trees can be made solid already.
It's maps that would need to be updated, not the code.
