A successful business not only delivers a quality product but also realizes the value of its customers. In my opinion, Monolith have shown nothing but contempt for its customers by refusing to respond to any questions, and by previously delivering an incomplete and buggy game with Blood 2.

I have legal questions that need answering. I politely requested to speak to someone that could answer them, on more then one occassion. They have ignored every email that I've sent. Surely there is someone at Monolith that deals with email and legal matters. They would most likely quickly find the time to respond if I were to offer them a multi million dollar contract for a new game.

So instead of a mod, consider this a giant patch to complete the half assed product that they abandoned and released to its customers.

they can release all their F.E.A.R.'s and Condemned's that they want, but they will NEVER create something as fun and unique as Blood 1. They had a great thing going with Blood, but just totally messed everything up with Blood 2. Blood 1 was when all the Beatles were together. I equate Blood 1 as having Paul, John, Ringo, and George making music together and Blood 2 with only John and Yoko, or maybe just Yoko herself.

Sometimes it all about who you know. If you get a email from some "Joe", pfff, who is this guy!?... But if it comes from someone inside, you'll never know. But I don't think anyone from Lith roams these halls.

I think I now better understand how linked in works

I haven't provided an update here in awhile but lately I've been reviewing all of the levels that I've built so far. Some of the very early levels that were built now seem very rough to me. It was all a good learning experience though, and some of these early levels can still eventually be improved and completed.

Others however don't seem to work as well as I would like. An example of one of these levels is the attempt that I made to build a massive city level last year. I think I spent about 3 weeks trying to push the lithtech engine to its limits by building one of the largest levels that lithtech 1.0 had ever seen. But I now think that its huge size is actually a drawback, and the level itself doesn't really flow very well.

I now doubt that I'll ever complete this particuliar level or include it in the final release. But as a demo for what's possible with level construction in lithtech 1.0, I think it's a somewhat interesting example that I thought I'd share.

Neat Kurt,

The empty city is really quite creepy at first, kind of like the beginning of that movie "28 Days Later"

One best aspects of your project so far is the discovery of Lithtech's underuse of existing resources. Enemy numbers and map size...etc.

Is there any chance that particle fx were also a victim of sloppy ram management by the engine?

I'm sure that I could do something with the particle fx, as well.

I think that once the AI is repaired and some new models are created, that I'll then be able to concentrate more on all other areas of the game.

Before I disappear from this thread, I thought I'd look back at the very first incomplete level that I built for this mod. I made plenty of mistakes with this effort due to my inexperience, but I think it's still a pretty good demonstration of what a redone Blood 2 could potentially be like someday.

I'd like to think that these screenshots could potentially convince the disbelievers or the curious that Blood 2 is still worth repairing, and that support for this project could still possibly increase. But after all this time I've come to realize that support will most likely remain limited to a very small group of people, despite my best efforts in trying to increase people's interest in this project. It also continues to seem unlikely that any new volunteers may possibly come forward to offer any assistance.

Rebuilding an entire game by myself really is totally crazy. But this insanity will most likely continue on my own until they eventually come to lock me up.

As a result of currently working alone, this project will continue to take some time to put together. But as always, volunteers are more then welcome to join in this madness, and maybe someday Blood 2 might actually get resurrected...

Thanks. It's always nice to receive some kind of feedback.

Thanks also to everyone else that has ever offered any support or encouragement during the development of this project. It's all been very much appreciated, and volunteers are still always welcome.

To everyone else that has remained silent while I attempted to gather support and volunteers for this project, you have only yourselves to blame if this project never reaches completion. The small number of visitors to the B2R and modDB sites, and the lack of feedback that I often encounter, tells me that most people really don't even care about any of this.

But despite those low numbers I'll continue to work away at all of this on my own, in the hope that something good may come out of all of this some day.

I appreciate having been allowed to post here for the past year, and I sincerely wish the Transfusion project all the best in the future.

Great work as always Kurt !!! Your attention to detail is quite amazing.

But why the farewell speech my friend? I understand if your tired (we have all been there) but no need to disappear because the interest is not what you expected ATM.

Must I remind you that this thread is still by far, the most viewed thread in this place? And you know your always welcome here, your part of what this community is all about :D

BTW: Screenshot 4 is now my desktop background :D
