That looks like good art direction change.

And now Chaser has become Return to Castle Wolfenstein. :evillaugh:

I am really getting annoyed at all of the "defend the truck" missions though. Bloody tedious.

Kind of seems like a lack of direction. Trying to be too many things?

I hate escort missions of any kind. Especially when whatever you're escorting can't fight back.

Chaser in the Land of the Soviets!

Also note my new widescreen display - $5.00 CND at a local thrift store and suddenly I have joined the rest of the 21st century.

I still have my good old CRT sitting next to me though for any older games that insist on a 4:3 display.

You can pry that from my cold dead hands. :phantasm:

I live in East TX around Tyler which is south of Dallas and north of Houston. So it never really gets too bad here. Its kind of a sweet spot. We're fine. Some storms and rain. The norm. Thanks for asking.

The games I've played lately were Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood, and Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive. I started playing them after I discovered Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, which I discovered after playing Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, which was influenced by all the aforementioned games.

I can already imagine a mod for Desperados, or standalone game influenced by Desperados, which have Caleb, Ophelia, Gabriel/Gabriella, and Ishmael as characters. Imagine a Desperados-Blood game where Caleb joins the Cabal, and engages in tactical missions for Tchernobog against the locals, the law, bandits, rival cults, and the undead. Either that, or it could just be a tactical version of Blood's original story with the Chosen at your side.

I've also been playing Blood 2 on the Extra Crispy mod.

You might want to consider giving Hard West a try then BEAST. I was posting about it in another forum thread:

I also have written a full review of the game for GamingOnLinux:

So I have finally won Chaser, and it averages out to be decent, in spite of all of its pitfalls. If they had a made a game that was half as long but twice as polished they could have even had something close to exceptional on their hands, as when the gunplay works, like it did for the most part in the Soviet levels, it comes close to Return to Castle Wolfenstein in terms of sniping and tactical bliss. Sadly though most of the time it falls apart due to its overstretched ambition and cumbersome mechanics, not least the impotence of the game's explosives which really started to grate on me by the end, or the intricate platforming and navigation puzzles that just served to show off the game's unwieldiness. Still, compared to how weak the game began I am reasonably impressed with how it turned out by the end. It was certainly worth the measly few dollars I paid for it. By far the biggest strike against it is that it still lacks the charm needed to be a flawed gem.
