Condemned, New Gory Monolith Title! (Warning 56k peeps)

Post by Bloodite »

Hey, I just stumbled on word of a gory new shooter being produced between Sega and Monolith called Condemned, also got some scans of a magazine feature of it. Its slated for release on the next gen systems (ps3,xbox2,Revolution), but will probably see a pc version as well. Looks pretty good :D

Is there something wrong in this?

BTW, how many of the actual people who developed Blood are still with Monolith?

After Blood, everything Monolith has done has been a disappointment, especially from the technical aspect (various things not working and never getting fixed). The NOLF series was ok, but they really streched the timeframe of that game out way too far with, imo, little improvement.

As for remaining developers: not too many.

Hey guys. Thought I'd just throw in the usual bit of false hope.

Maybe Monolith is just testing the water with this product. You know, seeing how the public will react to a horror series game.

Damn these fools. They *know* that Blood 3 will do well, if done properly.
Just because they screwed up Blood 2 they're all upset. It's not like you can make some hodge-podge mockery of a fantastic game, call it a sequel, put zero love into the game, claim that it's better (the second cut is always the deepest) and expect people to love it.

Blood 2 cut me alright... it cut me real deep.

Another note for the masses. Blood isn't 'creepy'. Yes, its got its moments, fact, but Blood isn't some psychological horror that leaves you running wild and screaming.

Blood has a much more mild, direct and corny feel to it. Blood is about a haunted house that tells its story of a man that went crazy, killing everyone and frankly, you (Caleb) don't give a s***.

Blood is exotic locations with dark secrets, temples with deathtraps and houses that stand on the dark side of madness.

How?

And AVP2 was quite nice. :)

What do you think about F.E.A.R? Damn that's annoying to type.

FEAR as they say is the eyecandy filled scripted-to-death shooter. i don't like those.

alpha of blood had more of 'magic' feel, it had more 'eerie' stuff than the final release.

I haven't played that, can you explain further? :)

And shouldn't we wait until a demo comes out before we judge?
