Classigine

Post by Caleb88 »

Hi Blood-Freaks.

I thought you may be interested in a new project I started some days ago.
The name is "Classigine".
And what is it: A remake of the build-engine just for newer systems. The focus here is on a complete new full-screen and user-friendly map editor featuring everything known from the build engine and some more.
Only some keys are set different, everything else should be known from mapedit. The engine behind this project is totally new too.

Actually the editor features:
-Building, editing and expanding sectors.
-Change, resize and move the textures.
-Sky-Textures that move with the player.
-Changing light from sectors (even colored light is possible).
-New sectors already have light, textures and height as sectors they are added to.
-SPRITES! (floor sprites, facing sprites and static sprites)
-Saving and loading maps.

Things to be done:
-Animated textures
-a simple but working physic.
-enemies, guns, items....
-sounds
-Everything else that makes a game a GAME! Actually it's just a map editor. :D

Interested? - give it a try.

Colour me daft, but what exactly is the intended use of this? Other than for the sheer techy joy of it?
