Good old Lith

Post by RedFanatic »

Has anyone played Monoliths Tron 2.0 it's amazing, instead of the now run of the mill industrial tech or ruined city landscape they've really
gone to town with the Tron universe it's a constant state of ' Wow  ' not only that but the weapons are fun taxing and varied
and although it's quite old now the enemies are intellegent and have very
entertaining death animes that almost convince you of rag-doll.

I tried the demo and can't say I really liked it that much... but then agian it was just the light cycle thing and I always hated that game. I'm sure there's more to the game than just that... maybe if it pops up in the $10 game bin someplace....

Got mine for $20 about a year ago or so. Fun game, but it took me FOREVER to stop hating it, in all honesty. It's one of those games that grows on you, really slowly, but then you're happy.

Lowering the difficulty helped too. Game's frigging HARD.

Yeah, I thought it was really cool, but that it sucked. This was mostly just because I got stuck on the part where OMG YOU HAVE TO USE THE ROD. God I hated that. I NEVER use ANYTHING except the disc, except for the boss fight I'm currently stuck on and any time I want to snipe. There's no real reason to use anything else unless you can't kill it with the disc easily...

TRON 2.0 is an amazing shooter. It is very impressive how much gameplay and originality Monolith got out of it.

The story line was very solid, as was gameplay and level design. The game can be pretty hard at times but it adds to it.
The RPG elements are a great aspect as well.
I love TRON. :D

Yeah the story is suprisingly enjoyable, sure its a bit 80's but so is Tron,
the disc is done very well especially the cluster disc that on gold is devastation but i think the LOL is the most usefull with such big areas a sniper is perfect.
whats i find annoying is
even though they give you the option sneaking never seems to work very well maybe a gold fuzzy would be okay

A GOLD fuzzy sub-routine plus your Rod Primitive is great. Sneak up behind a ICP and zap the life out of him. :D

The RPG elements give you so much choice and freedom, even though the levels are pretty linear... still gives you that feeling like you can try it so many different ways.

Not everyone has gold subroutines before they give up...

But yes, that's quite awesome. I personally never use any of the other weapons unless I've got room that I'm not otherwise using, which, unless I have a gold weapon and no more golds to put in one isolated space, is quite rare. Just use the disc, and save my energy for downloads. It's worked well so far, plus the disc is great with headshots. :)

The Disc and the LOL are awesome. I love some of theviral weapons though... they can be very effetive once upgraded to beta or gold.
