At the bottom of the page we read: "Powered by phpBB © 2001, 2005 phpBB Group" I guess it would be nice if we provided a link or such. As far as I know it's free, I think it is.

We use to run YaBB but that kinda went away when PlanetBlood did a directory audit and we ended up moving here. (Again, thanks Willis for hosting us!)

phpbb is free and requires php and mysql [1 database] (both also free).
We're running a highly customized version of the SubBlack template theme.
We're also running a guest posting visual confirmation mod, as well as a personal customized account signup field mod.

SMF is probably the best free forum software available at the moment.
