my suggestion is get an old computer with DOS and use that instead of crappy XP

Are you just hitting the NOLFB.exe? It has to be in a VDMS shortcut...

You may also run NOLFB.exe from the command prompt (MS-DOS? Not in XP! 
) and before closing that command prompt window, NOLFB will remain active, so you may then run Blood without certain gheyness.
