...a server up tommorow, but it's only for so long. Likely about 12 am to 2pm at my time in Australia. Don't know what people's lag will be like when you guys join though, as I don't have the greatest cable on earth. but hey, why not?
So one queston, can someone please knowledge me as to how I can make the maps rotate?
No promises about the midday server, but I'll definately make another one later in the night. maybe 10pm.
Edit: Meh, I'll just start one up tonight at 10 Pm and see what happens. Be there or have no blood!!!

map rotation:
make a plain text file called for example bloodbath.cfg (or anything else instead of the word bloodbath).
The file should look like this:
samelevel 9
alias map1 "changelevel bb3"
alias map2 "changelevel bb2"
alias map3 "changelevel e1m1"
alias map4 "changelevel b2power"
alias map5 "changelevel b2a15"
alias map6 "changelevel bkeep"
alias map7 "changelevel crypt"
alias map8 "changelevel qmorbias"
alias map9 "changelevel dcamp"
You can obviously change the number of maps and their names!
Save the file in your basetf directory
After you start the server pull down the console and type
exec bloodbath.cfg
NOTE: if you name your file maps.cfg it should be automatically read at startup, but using different config names enables you to have many different map sets that can be used on different occasions.

Hell yes! I just got off bloodbathing with predator, and I must say, what a hell of a nice guy! (whome I must thank again for helping with map rotations by the way) And fun to battle with too. Anyhoo, If you wanna catch me again, I might make a server at 2pm to mess around with tommorow, and then 10 again. (not quite promising, but do cross your fingers)
PS: Later in the future, I might join you all for quake 3. FUN! Cyas around ok?

Thanks to Drakan I had some bloodbath today. Unforgettable experience.
Forget the lag, forget that I was having huge problems even with collecting items and passing through doors, forget that my shots were delayed by a second, forget that I was massacred by the cruel and merciless host and my blood was everywhere.
It was bloodbath, and I managed to get a few sawed-off kills.
It's all that counts!

Ahh hell, it's up, what they hey?Drakan wrote:Hmmm... wierd. I typed in exec maps.cfg, which IS a cfg file, but it still won't rotate the maps...? And after changing a map tonight, the server wouldn't even let me change it again! and... shut down... or so I intepreted.
*sigh*
I'll be back tommorow...
Edit: Hey! I'm a cultist now! Sweet! Now where's my shotgun...
