The shot on the left is our old version in q1bsp format.
The one on the right is the latest version in q3bsp format.
After we moved to q3bsp we made some liquid surfaces emit light.

Those look awsome. Does the HUD count the ammo for all weapons now?
Also is that lighter flame tranaparent? If it is how did you pull it off? everytime I made a transparent flame for the lighter the hand was rendered with the lighter behind the hands instead of being held by the hands.

Yes, the HUD now works with all weapons and armor, though I still have yet to finish the inventory system and some powerup overlays.

No the lighter flame is not transparent... you'd have to ask Cruaich if he had ever tried or what his results were.

I beleve we are going to try for a particle flame with the lighter and the TNT fuse. It depends on how things turn out. Either way it may be a while in coming, atleast untill we get the world models skinned and in the maps. The lighter flame *should* actualy have a fullbright texture applyed to it that Predator dose not apear to have in his screenshot.

I was wondering though if it might be possible to make the Lava more viscous than say the water when you fall into it.

Oh the crispy feet is just fine... and I think Blood never actaully let you enter lava (just walk on top), it's just that when I tested Predators liquids map when you fall in the various liquids, water, slime/acid, multin metal & lava, they all have the same kill sound, "glug, glug, ahhh!" works for water and acid, but lava and metal?
