Anyone know of a way to convert SWF files into AVI files? I have a program for it that's not doing anything, it crashes immediatly after I try to (I'm pretty sure I've got my settings right, though). Due to the fact that I deleted the program I can only guess, I think it was SWFTOAVI ot something? I really have no idea. If anyone has any success getting such a thing to work, please tell me. This will be used to convert the Bad Guys series, the Blockhead series, the Arfenhouse series, and The Ultimate Showdown and put them on my PSP. Aw yeah.

I dunno, tried importing the swf into flash, then exporting it as a avi?

last resort is to use Hypercam, but it's shareware and sticks a notice on your video. You could also use camtasia, but that forces it's own special codec that only other camtasia users can watch.

As soon as I have Flash I'll try that first one, but I don't have Flash for now. Thanks for the quick reply, though. I'll have to get on that.

Flash exports to quicktime movie if the movie is not interactive. You'll have to re-encode to AVI afterwards. :phantasm:

Wait, if it has a play button does that count as interactive? Wow this is confusing. All I wanted was portable Ultimate Showdown, man!

It shall be worth the effort of figuring out once, though, then it would likely work for everything else and all would be awesome, no?

Yes

Edit: And now I think about it, it doesn't have to be that big a problem if the creators did every scene chronologically in their original *.fla. But since this ultimate power thing is choice-based, chances are it'll be in the wrong order.
