If I were to eat cheese that I grated with an unwashed cheese grater, would I get diseased?

I believe my question is clear enough.

In all fairness to Willis and Cruaich, I will delete this thread once Willis has given me his "secret idea", in secret. No pressure, sir! :D

It depends on the cheese your grating. All cheeses has various levels of bacteria, chances are that the bacteria in the cheese itself will counteract the bacteria on the cheese grater simply by how much it already has...

Besides that what the hell are you going on about?

I have to disagree with Cruaich, it all has to do with the cheese that was grated long ago and not washed off. And since cheese is one of the fastest molding foods, I'd definatly say you should not cheese.

Hmm... must be a wet climate thing then... everything here dries out within a day or two when you leave it out. The only time we get mold on anything is when it's been sitting in the fridge for to long.

I'd say no - you can't get 'diseased' from cheese, moldy or not.

You CAN however get food poisoning, hehe. But again, no disease. Go for it. There's a high-five in it for ya.
