Re: New Build engine game

I was of course aware of the Chris Quin quip, but do you have a citation for his comments on E1M3? If you do, feel free to add it our Blood in Other Media article: http://www.blood-wiki.org/index.php/Blood_in_Other_Media#References Certainly. Yahtzee mentions this in the commentary for his platform...

Re: New Build engine game

I like the art style you implemented with MS Paint. It reminds me of some of Yahtzee Croshaw's games, which implemented a similar art style with the same program. Did you find out about them due to Zero Punctuation, or did you like me know about Yahtzee before he was cool? Actually, I found out abo...

I like the art style you implemented with MS Paint. It reminds me of some of Yahtzee Croshaw's games, which implemented a similar art style with the same program. I also how the art style was complemented by the BUILD engine's dynamic capabilities. It took me awhile to get it working, but once I rea...

Re: a Blood creepypasta

Well just to let you guys know Mormons aren't really Christians. They don't live by the word of God which is the Bible. They got their own word that was given to their founder by an angel. The true word of God actually warns us not to obey any scripture that's not in his book even if it was given t...

Re: blood2 revelations!

I'm excited about the release of these files. Thank you, wherever you are, Revelations guy!

I'm trying to play this on my GOG.com copy of Blood 2, but it doesn't seem to read Custom games well. I've created a Custom folder, but it doesn't read any mods I put in it. I need guidance!

Re: Blood The Reckoning

I need testplayers again. I extended the engine with multi-threading-support which lets you load the massive texture-data with no lags! On my PC it works perfect. My average framerate was 1400 FPS. :guns: DOWNLOAD Oh, and please ignore that there is no collission detection at this time  I trie...

Re: Python: Could that work?

I just answered the f••• out of that question! I did read it! I did read it! Sorry, I took too long to respond to thank you. I wish some of the Transfusion veterans had participated too, but your answer has satisfied me. But what if a new scripting language could be added to Dark Places, or if Dark...

Half-Life 0.52 Alpha: Possibilities?

Most of you are probably aware of the release of the Half-Life 0.52 Alpha demo that was discovered and given to the public to play. In case you haven't, here's the link from ModDB. It doesn't require Half-Life to play. http://www.moddb.com/downloads/half-life-1-alpha-052 And here's some gameplay foo...

Python: Could that work?

I'm going to ask a small programming question. I know that Transfusion is lacking in coders, and Quake C is a hard language to learn, but what if another language could be used in compatibility with Quake C? I've learned that Python is the easiest programming language to learn, and that it can be ma...

Re: New Postal 2 DLC to be released

Good going for RWS for still expanding on their classic Postal 2! I've installed my updated copy from GOG.com, I like some of the additions I see. I wish the weapons were a little bit stronger, the game still is fun. There are so many other aspects I'd want to improve in or add to in Postal 2.

Re: John Carmack resigns from id

I take it back. I managed to get those Doom ports working. I just wished I was able to buy their Heretic and Hexen ports before they decided to not sell them anymore. Bethesda totally changed the site, and there store is no longer what it was. I had still held out hopes that id would sell their full...

Re: Influences and Ideas for a BLOOD 3

I just finished playing LucasArts' Outlaws . Annoyingly maze-like in places, but overall an inspired game. It's like creators took what worked in Dark Forces , and took a little further by using the Jedi Engine to create a classic Western-styled cinematic experience. It still has its flaws, but I li...

Re: I just beat Shiela, and...

You can only expect so much from a character born and raised in the violent universe of Blood after all. There are so many shades to his character and ways one can interpret his personality, which is possibly one of the reasons he's so well remembered among the old FPS heroes of BUILD. Story wasn't...

Re: Blood The Reckoning

This little project certainly has improved since the first test shots. I like what I see. It kind resembles one of the images I had for a Blood 3 once. Just so you know, Caleb88, your download link doesn't work anymore. I've yet to play your demo, and I would love to try it out. Do any of you guys k...

Re: Old Softdisk Source Code Released

Excellent! I've taken an interest in the Catacomb games since I first checked it out. It always looked like Commander Keen from a first-person perspective to me then. Despite it's repetitive theme song (which I do like to jam to), and limitations, I liked what they pulled off. Even the later Catacom...
