Bumps on the floor, as with bumps on all surfaces, require bumpmaps. I think beta2 contained them, but I've seperated them for beta3 as they are incomplete and only roughly done by a person with little skill in texturing (i.e. me). If anyone wants to get the textures I've bumped, they can ask me aft...

That's right. There's no censoring in place, but don't expect to be able to go overboard with the profanity - we can still do nasty things to offenders  I'm not holding out muhc hope of being able to recover the old forums. I don't have any access to the old site, so I can't get them back o...

IIRC, there was one person/team who was going to try a WinBlood port using the Duke3D source code, but this made little progress before dying. There was another project which popped up in the meantime, I can't remember the details of it though. Atari has been approached numerous times about releasin...

Don't feel too bad about it -ED, the team page is still going through updates. Currently the only person who can modify it is Elric, and it can take a little while for info to get through so he can make the changes. In this most recent batch of changes we just have to find out that certain team memb...

Things have changed quite a bit since the last official release. The weapons have been redone for instance, and for the most part the polygonal fires have been removed. The screenshots on the site are quite old and in need of updating, I suppose that would remove the need for some of the questioning...

Just to make sure people are getting the points that are arising: Transfusion uses the DarkPlaces engine. This engine was created using the Quake engine source code, with the addition of many features, such as: * TGA/JPG texture loading * Support for bump/normal/gloss/glow maps * Support for HL/Q3 b...

AFAIK there haven't been any recent changes to the behaviour of the bots, and from my experience at least they work better with .way files present. It's beneficial to have them as it means the game has to do less processing for the roaming AI the bots would use otherwise, plus it provides a better g...

Or, you could turn on realtime lighting in DarkPlaces and play Transfusion with fancy lighting already without the need to use Doom 3 ;) I can't speak for the rest of the team, but it might not be easy to get them to help participate in a mod for another engine. We're overstretched as it is with a s...
