Re: Sorry for my absence

Well, I just recently got notified that Western Digital just received my defective drive, well over a month after I sent it and after we paid around forty bucks to get the damn thing shipped. I will let you draw your own conclusions from this. :banghead: Sorry for the late reply, this totally passe...

Re: New Postal 2 DLC to be released

You see, SOME developers actually do support their older games: http://gamingonlinux.com/articles/time-to-go-postal-free-postal-2-dlc-on-its-way.2359 Now, it helps when that game is still your flagship title, but still... :P Haha, that's awesome! :D Don't see a whole lotta developers supporting old...

Re: The BLOOD Port

@N0t_mINe Ah, I see...thank you for the clarification about Glide. I saw those screenshots you linked and it was pretty snazzy. Alice support surprised me. It's amazing just how hard a community tries to bring Blood to modern systems without a usable source code. So many attempts have been made to m...

Re: The BLOOD Port

The source code for Blood is out of reach and will remain so for the foreseeable future. This thread has been posted to explore what could be done, if anything, with Blood as is. In the past such an idea has been rejected out of hand and rightly so. 15 years after Blood's release however, technolog...

Re: Just saying...

I haven't played Blood 2 in a long while actually. Last playthrough I attempted was a vanilla run but I lost interest in finishing it. Last game I played was Pokemon on the gba and before that, Shadow Warrior. The Tunnel of Love is probably the hardest bit of the Nightmare Levels because of how litt...

Re: Plans for an Article on Transfusion

About time I updated again. Thanks to the wise guidance and help from Tchernobog, my article may be ready to go. Thanks to all who helped me out: most especially Tchernobog, I Live... AGAIN!, and Elric. The question now is where I should submit it to: PC Gamer or WIRED. I may have to look back upon...

Re: Sorry for my absence

I am really beginning to rekindle my hatred of Dell again after being stuck on an old D600 laptop for the past few weeks (I am still waiting on the replacement drive to show up). Still, I at least was able to replay Dark Forces II on it, which was nice since I had just finished Jedi Outcast (using ...

Funny audiobook thing...

Hello, Bloodites. In the past week or two, I have been downloading public domain audiobooks on Librivox and while browsing through Coffee Break Collection Vol. 005 - Love and Realtionships (a fine set of books IMO) I stumbled across a rather intriguing one... http://www.archive.org/download/coffee_b...

Re: Sorry for my absence

Sorry to hear that, my friend. :( To be honest, I got a couple of random reboots and WinXP informing me of it encountering a serious error a few weeks ago that spooked me out. The last time it happened I figured out that the locks on the heat sink were off and I had to clamp them back on (which was ...

Re: Blood movie project

All very interesting replies! I love the directions discutions can take when interested people are involved! :-) I will give my idea a try once a good occasion is there. Besides that I am planning a movie project other than Blood, something that is more presentable in my region. A scary movie with ...

Re: Blood movie project

I agree completely, the Blood series had a great mix of camp/dark that not many games I played could replicate. Some say Blood 2 over did it but I disagree, I blame this on lack of time to fully polish and finish the story and gameplay. For example, most of Caleb's dialogue is witty quotes which is...

Re: Blood movie project

Hello everyone. I spoke with a friend who wors with graphiks and makes artistic movies for music bands, commercials and other things. He said the last movie was good, but gave the hint that since I cannot make the effects look realistic, might as well go completely over the top. Been thinking about...

Re: Shadow Warrior Reboot

Yeah, same here. My expectations are low for this even though I did wish for a new Shadow Warrior a few years back. But after seeing how DNF came out (to be fair, I never played it but from what I saw, I have no desire to) I figure what made the first good would be lost while adapting to the current...
