Re: Is this still alive?

What's the status of the moding scene within the quake community? Has it dwindled further, of have they rallied around something less innocuous than a wannabe unreal 2004 clone? I don't know. The only mods I'm aware of are Quake Reforged, Ultra Epsilon, and Remake Quake. The only Quake community si...

Re: Is this still alive?

There would be copywright issues with this as proposed. Quake source code is certainly open sourced, but art assets, sounds, and models are still the property of there owners. Before tfn went silent, there were some blood enemy models in working condition. don't know what happened to them. I'm not ...

Re: Blood State of the Union Address (hint; not good)

I hope we make this place a welcoming one for all, no matter what personal beliefs they have. Its like the old joke. A Marxist, an Apostolic United Pentecostal, someone with Aspergers, and a huge flying stone head (apparently) congregate on a forum. They talk about setting people on fire and shovin...

Re: Is this still alive?

It may be down, but I've been pondering an idea that might generate some interest. The main concern is that the project has no coders, and that a significant amount of code is needed to get enemies in Dark Places to behave more like a 3D version of Blood's enemies rather than like Quake enemies. Not...

Re: Blood State of the Union Address (hint; not good)

It is quiet here, but it's peaceful too. I prefer it to the difficult egos I've encountered on the other game forums. And everybody loves Tchernobog. He's our favorite unholy scholar of Blood lore. :) As for the state of the Blood IP, it will be a long time coming until the new 3D Realms or Devolver...

Re: BloodCM

I'm very impressed with how well Blood Crossmatching has progressed. There are some issues with it, but I like what's been done. I particularly like being able to pitchfork the zombies when they're knocked down. The Bloated Butchers are much tougher for some reason, having withstood a few napalm bla...

Searching for Issues for PC Gamer (USA)

Recently, while balancing my thesis and creativity, I've been searching for and collecting issues for the USA publication of PC Gamer magazine. I've collected some PC Gamers by means of ebay, some of which include the iconic DNF issues and the issue which first previewed Quake. One of the problems i...

Re: Happy birthday tcherno!

It's been awhile since I've been here. Now that I see this, I just want to say.... Happy Birthday to my favorite One Who Binds, man! :bat: :guns: I see you're a Taurus as well, laddy. So am I. (Admittedly, I was raised on astrology by my hippie-like mother) My birthday's coming up soon enough, so I'...

Re: How I Imagined Blood 2 Would Play Like

I have no experience with Deus Ex or System Shock (gasp) so I cannot help you there. But I'm pretty sure System Shock was the game with the breakable weapons and I find the idea honestly dumb. It is good to see people still brainstorm about Blood frequently however. Makes me feel less alone in my e...

Re: Blood2 extra-crispy, new mod

Nevermind. Got it working properly this time. The launch window allowed me to cutsomize the game. I just discovered it now.

Damn good job, mod team!

Re: Blood2 extra-crispy, new mod

I keep trying to get this mod to work, and even after adding a Custom folder, my version of the game still can't tell that the mod is there. I've got the GOG.com version. It didn't have a custom folder, so I added one. I put the files in, and it can't read it. Is there something in the installation ...

Re: How I Imagined Blood 2 Would Play Like

@dosgamer000 I like your list. Now you got me thinking of the possibility of a cyberpunk Blood mod or level. It makes me wonder if a Blood-themed mod can be done for Deus Ex or System Shock 2. I would long to see the virtual reality aspect from System Shock 1 and The Lawnmower Man for Blood 2. Thank...

How I Imagined Blood 2 Would Play Like

I didn't get to play Blood 2 until some years recently. Although there's much of its gameplay that I appreciate, such as some of it weapon effects and character animations, it was a far cry from how I initially imagined it. For a long time, I had only imagined how the game played based upon the scre...

Re: a Blood creepypasta

@ BEAST Yeah David didn't work with the philistines. He converted over to their side and lost all connection with God. Not exactly a high point in his life. Its a complete waste of time to work with other faiths. One accord. If they don't believe in the truth then u should not work with them in any...
